Hi, I’m John here from Legacy Dodge in Claresholm. I’m here to show you this beautiful 2016 Ram 1500 Sport Crew. This particular Sport Crew has the long 6-foot box on it. The Sport Package, of course, includes the Sport hood here, as you can see. Coloured bumpers, front and rear and it has the special aluminium rims on this particular unit.
This unit has the the trailer tow package on it as you can see the mirrors and the break it also has a spray in liner with the box lighting on here, this has a power locking tailgate. Has the backup camera, the dual exhaust off the back here plus it has the class four receiver with the four and seven-pin wiring.
This is inflamed red the colour. Moving under the hood, we have a 5.7-liter HEMI engine, 8-speed automatic transmission 392 axle ratio which gives you max trailer tow of 10,500 pounds.
Moving into the rear here we have a very comfortable seating in this crew for 5. If you flip up the seats on this side, you’ll also notice we have a flat loading floor that comes out from underneath, so if you’re not using it for seating, you can certainly use it for hauling parts or groceries, luggage, whatever on a flat surface. You will see a storage area that opens up underneath the floor mats here. This has a removable tray so you can put ice in here and put your sandwiches and refreshments in here. It’s got that feature on both sides. You also have vents to the rear for the heat and air as you can see today can really use that.
This unit has an Information Center another feature this unit has the air suspension it has two off-road modes, an air mode when you’re driving at the proper speed, and it also has an entry and exit mode and a normal ride both so there’s four different heights. This air suspension will put us at so if you’re off-roading you’ve certainly got some extra height to deal with to get over those rough spots.
Also in this Information Center, we have the speedometer digitally here, and you can change it to miles per hour by one press. You can set up your screen as you can see here this one set up with a gauge for your trailer down in the bottom here, your direction and temperature and arrange to empty has been set on this, but you can personalize that the way you wish. There it will tell you when it’s ready for an oil change or any stored messages in here and then it’s got a music or audio screen you can keep track of up to four different trailers on this particular unit and what kind of brake controllers they have and everything else.
You’ve of course have the normal Trip A and Trip B you have used fuel economy screen here you can leave it on to see how much fuel it’s using, and that’s pretty well the instrumentation screen. You also have a six gauge pack here. Also, you have audio controls on the back of the steering wheel.
You can shift this particular unit up or down here just right on the screen here the 8 speed you can shift it down and back up again type thing right at the fingertips so you’re going slow and you need a little more RPMs you can certainly shift it to the gear you want to do.
Now moving to the center screen. This particular unit has AM/FM, and Sirius Satellite Radio has a media center which of course is inside of here. The media center is right in here you have an SD card reader port, a USB port and you also have an auxiliary port plus there’s a USB port for charging your phone in this area here. While we’re over here, we also have big storage down below here in the center console. Moving ahead with the center console you have a place to put your cell phone plus cup holders of course, and there is a 12-volt outlet here that runs off the key. As far as the instrumentation is concerned you have your heated and cooled seats buttons you can do manually, or you can go to the control screen to do it.
You can also access the backup camera without going in Reverse by just pushing a button, control screen, anything else on here we have an auto-dimming rearview mirror of course also you can control your heat and air here, or you can go to control it on the touch screen above here also. Moving along here after the controls we have the apps. If there are some apps, you are using down below here more than others you can drop and drag them down here especially today since the heated seat button, of course, you can see as it’s on right now on this chilly day. You can move that app down here so you could turn it on at any time with a touch.
Over to the climate control, we’ve been there once you can do it here. It’s individual for passenger and driver of course control it here or control it on the dash. This one has navigation; you can set it up. It’s a Garment system, so it’s very easy to use to set up for your navigation or find places in the big city. Also, you can program up to 7 cell phones I believe into this unit maybe more so you go onto this app to program.
Now it’s got an 8-speed automatic which I mentioned earlier; it does have the automatic four-wheel-drive system where you can put it in full automatic four-wheel drive. You can put it in forget it, and you can drive up and down the icy roads to dry pavement, and it won’t hurt it anything. Plus it’s got the 4Lock position, the 4Low and it’s got a two-wheel-drive position so very nice four-wheel-drive system.
This particular unit you can program your garage door opener into it of course, and we have a power sliding rear window in this unit.
Moving back outside this is something I didn’t mention before, it has the passive entry. You don’t have to take the keys out of your pocket to get in it, or when you get out you can lock it up with the passive entry, and it’s also got push button start. This unit is also equipped with a remote start on this particular unit which is great on days like today.
