Hey guys, this is Seth here from Legacy Dodge Claresholm. Today we’ll be checking out this brand new 2017 Dodge Durango SXT.
Under the hood we have a 2.6 liter, Pentastar V6 engine. It has a good balance of power and fuel economy as well.
So this Durango is equipped with passive entry. Simply leave the key in your pocket, put your hand on the door, and the door will unlock. You can also lock the door by pushing this button here.
If we go to the back of the vehicle. Has a lot of space back here. There’s some storage underneath. And this is a 7-passenger, so these seats will fall flat, and will also come back up if you need to carry some extra passengers.
Back seats in the Dodge Durango, plenty of space here. You have your climate vents there. And a couple of cup holders down here as well. These seats will also fold down. And they’ll fold up for some extra cargo space, if you need it.
Okay, driver side on the Dodge Durango here, you have your power windows, power locks, power folding mirrors. Your chrome handle. This unit has a power adjustable driver seat, with the lumbar adjustment as well. And then down here, you’ll see automatic headlights.
This vehicle is equipped with push button start. So simply have the key in the vehicle, put your foot on the brake, press the button here and the vehicle starts right up.
As you can see you have a nice big digital display. You have your speedometer here. You can have your digital reading, or the analog reading, whichever you choose.
And this is our control right here on the steering wheel. Coming down here, you have a bunch of information on the vehicle; you can scroll through here. Fuel economy, as well as your instant fuel economy reading. So it will show you how much fuel you’re using as you’re driving down the road. You have your trip information.
This vehicle is equipped with the engine stop-start feature. So when you’re at a red light, or in heavy traffic, at a standstill, the vehicle will shut the engine off for you to conserve fuel. And then, as soon as you hit the gas pedal, the engine will start right up again.
And if you don’t like that feature, you can of course turn it off right over here. And then you have some audio information here as well. Very nice gauges.
Coming back, leather wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters. Your cruise control buttons there. And buttons to control the Bluetooth.
Coming over to the center stack, you have a nice touch screen. And this unit does have Satellite radio. You can also control your climate up here if you wish. Heated seats as well.
Coming down here, you have your dual zone climate controls. You can set up temperature for either passenger. And you can also put it in auto mode which will let the vehicle handle that for you.
This does have rear ParkSense, so it will beep if you’re coming up to an obstacle in your way. And also, it is equipped with a backup camera. You just put the vehicle in reverse and it shows up here. But if you don’t want the ParkSense on, you don’t want it beeping at you, you just turn it off there.
And also it has an economy mode for saving fuel, as well as the Sport mode if you want to have a little bit fun on the road.
Coming down here, you have an auxiliary port. USB port, and a SD card slot, as well as some nice storage space here.
Here’s your shifter for the 8-speed automatic transmission. Two cup holders. You have a nice leather stitched center console here. And this unit is equipped with a CD player which you don’t find too often in these new vehicles, but this one does have it.
