Hi, I’m John here from Legacy Dodge Claresholm. I’m here to show you today, this brand-new 2017 Ram 1500 SLT Crew. The colour is what they call Black Forest Pearl. It’s a very, very dark green, but it’s very metallic.
This unit has what we call the Big Package, which is a Trim Package. As you can see, the grille is a special chrome grille. The wheels, they’re special wheels for the Big Horn package. The package comes standard with these Mopar tube steps on it. It also has the chrome strip along the side.
It has the bumpers, front and rear. This unit comes with a backup camera, power locking tailgate. Works off the key fob, and then this one does have a spray-in liner as you can see. You can lock the tailgate by just pushing the lock button [inaudible].
Moving to the front of the vehicle here, under the hood, we have a 5.7 liter Hemi. It’s rated at 395 Horse with 410 foot pounds of torque. It’s mated up with an 8-speed automatic transmission, which makes for smoother shifting, and great fuel economy. Speaking of fuel economy, it runs at 11.5 liters per 100 kms on the highway, and 16.1 liters per 100 kilometers in the city.
This is a Crew Cab [inaudible] The Bighorn package, being SLT, is cloth seats, but they have a 40/60 split bench seat in the rear, and we also have the flat loading floor that comes out from underneath. So you can have a flat loading floor all across the back, or part of it, to throw your groceries on, your parts, or whatever.
Also underneath here, it also has storage underneath this flat loading floor, under the seat. It comes with a power outlet in the back that runs off the battery also.
Moving to the front of the vehicle, as you can see here, we have the automatic headlights, power mirrors, power seat on the driver’s side with power lumbar. We also have the power windows. Speaking of the mirrors, it does have the trailer tow mirrors. You can see those mirrors flip up when you’re ready to use, like so. You readjust them for your trailer when you’re towing your trailer.
Moving into the cabin here, we have bucket seats in the front, with a nice storage area here, and there’s an infotainment center here where you can use a USB memory card. You also have a place to charge your cell phone with this USB port, plus it handles an auxiliary port so you can run the music through the audio system. It does have audio controls on the back of the steering wheel, which you can’t see.
It has UConnect for your cell phone. That 8-speed transmission can be shifted up here on the steering wheel also, of course, where your cruise is. And we have the information in the instrumentation pack here which you can move up and down, and see quite a bit of instrumentation on it.
This one has an 8.5″ touchscreen, it has AM/FM and Sirius Satellite radio which you get for a full year. It has the individual heat and temperature for the driver and passenger, which can be set here, or you can set it on your touch screen up here.
It has an automatic 4-wheel drive system in here. This is this push-button logo here. 2-wheel drive, of course it’s in now, but if you needed an auto 4-wheel drive, put it in and forget it. It does have a 4-Lock, and it does have a 4-wheel drive LO position.
Integrated brake controller, as you can see here. The heated cloth seats, and the heated steering wheel also. It has park sensors, front and rear, which you can turn off up here when you’re towing a trailer for the rear. And if you get piled up with snow and stuff on the front park sensors, you can turn them off inside here. It has a 115 volt outlet, 150 watts right here, plus the double glove boxes. It has a power sliding rear window, and you can also program your garage door opener into it.
